Velocity Colocation uses the Equinix Datacentre Facility in Sydney to help facilitate its needs.

The Equinix Datacentre facility has been constructed for Redundancy, Reliability, Stability & Performance, to create the best backbone for Velocity Servers to provide its customers with great service and a guaranteed 99.9% uptime SLA.

Construction

This one-story industrial warehouse structure has been converted/retrofitted into a state-of-the-art data center environment.

• Air-cooled chilled-water and cooling tower system designed to cool 750 watts per square metre to 22° Celsius (71.6° Fahrenheit) ± 3°
• Humidity controlled to 50% ± 20%

• Laser-based Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA)
• Double interlock preaction sprinkler system

Cabling

• Overhead proprietary fibre guide system
